What's new?

I feel guilty for having neglected my blog readers for so long, mostly by spending too much time on Instagram...
So to make it up, here is a thorough report of my past two weeks:

First I finished a custom order for a friend, a large nappy/diaper weekend tote, made from fresh olive branch print by Ikea.

Next I made a cheerful iPhone cozy, lined with red corduroy - I have sold all iPhone sleeves from my shop and must make some more ASAP!

And last is this hipster bag, made from upholstery fabric with floral jacquard in black and copper brown, lined with khaki linen blend canvas. All three Loddelinas are on their way to Lyon right now, Merci :)

When I wasn't sewing, I was running errands and rushing to take my children to or pick them up from school, not much different than any other week. Luckily the school winter break starts tomorrow which will bring some new activities for the children.

Of course, there will be lots of Angry Birds sessions during the holidays:

If the warmer weather doesn't melt away all of the snow, there may be some more skiing:

And some simple pleasures of everyday Pontarlier:

Have a great start of the new week, see you soon!

Busy Sunday

Today I am home alone, sewing and ticking off items from my to do list. Busy, busy, busy!
One of the things on my list was backing up my files and upgrading the computer which meant more than 4 hours of cyber blackout.

So instead of posting pictures of my sewing space and work in progress, here is just a quick snapshot I posted on Instagram earlier, a detail from one of two new hipster bags I am making. I will take pictures of the finished bags tomorrow and list them in my shop by the end of the day.

Have a nice evening!

New in my shop

One expects winter to be cold but to have temperatures around -18°C for several days in a row is just too much and sitting still at the sewing machine gets a bit chilly after a while. I did manage to add a few zippered purses to my shop recently and am working on a custom order bag at the moment (pictures to follow).
In the next weeks I plan to work on new hipster bags for spring and perhaps a smaller version of money purse (with my new stock of 4" zippers).
You may find the new purses in my shop.

So try to stay warm and let's hope this long and cold February is soon behind us...
