My day Monday

Here is a freshly picked bouquet of spring to brighten up your week:

Unfortunatelly I had no time to sew last week because I was so occupied with getting our busy family life on track after the long winter break - hopefully I will be able to finish those bags I promised by the end of this week.
But the good news is spring is just around the corner (though you couldn't tell by still soundly asleep vegetation here on 900 m altitude). Days are getting longer and it is a real joy having our walk to school on a sunny morning, filled with bird song.

Have a creative week everyone!

My newest listing is another Goga wristlet/clutch, this time a little more luxurious edition, made from plum purple chenille and adorned with golden lace trim and a large antiques brass dragonfly charm. My entry for this week's EST challenge, hosted by lucietales, entitled "The roaring 20's"

My day Monday

Today I'm not feeling very well, this yo-yo weather (it snowed again last weekend) has turned a harmless cough I had a few weeks ago into a nasty bronchitis that keeps me awake at night coughing like a chain smoker...

So today I have no energy to scan the Etsy shops for my "mood" items. But I don't want to bring you down so here is a picture from a sunny, allthough crispy cold day at the Doubs river where we regularly take walks.

And happy Women's Day to all of you ladies out there!

Carnival
,
Cockwise from top left:

Tomorrow is Carnival Tuesday and in Slovenia, where I grew up, people would always look forward to dressing up in costume and joining the processions and festivities, children and adults alike. We didn't know Halloween back then but for "Pust" or "Fasching", as they say in the German world, my mother would ask my brother and I what kind of costume we would like and then she would make them for us.
;
Carnival time is also a time of doughnuts and just as we were leaving Germany I took a picture of this lovely and colourful sellection of "Krapfen" at our local Augsburg bakery...
;

I will miss the Krapfen but I may have found an even tastier replacement - these yummy home made macarons from a charming little patisserie in Pontarlier, called Aux Petits Gourmands...
