Photo opportunity

Today was a gorgeous sunny day and as much as I was planning to sew I just had to seize the chance of the strong enough light to do some indoor photography.

It was about time I revamped some of my shop pictures, my previous ones of the black evening purses were just not good enough to show them properly. So instead of choosing a fancy background, props or plain white paper that makes the contrasts too strong, I used a warm light grey paper for my base and backed it with plum purple shade that made the black stand out just enough without killing all the shades and shimmers of the fabric.

I will renew these listings and keep my fingers crossed that my little black evening purses bring some new sales...

I've opened a Sale section in my shop today and decided to offer an approximately 17 % discount on little black evening purses.

On sale are Malina satin purse with silver embroidery, Lina velvet purse with golden lace, Mala small over shoulder purse and Moni satin drawstring pouch.

I've also played with my Etsy shop avatar a bit, I sometimes notice in forums that people use it as an advertising tool, I wonder if it realy helps...

Last night, after the children were in bed (my peak working hours...), I was flipping through some new Treasury lists and came across this one by CrazyDaisiesDesigns, still fresh and empty, inviting us to propose our most colourful designs for her rainbow theme.

Before I was off to bed she had almost finished her sellection and I was lucky enough to be selected. Thank you for making such lively Treasury, full of all the essential vitamins for Winter!

PS: Also lucky for me was the fact that the chosen topic was not Halloween - we're not even in October yet and my head is already full of bats and pumpkins...

Two new features!

What an exciting day!

I was just finishing my afternoon latte macchiato when I got a convo from Maykela, letting me know she included my orange Nana purse in her Treasury!

Just as I was cropping the screen print picture to post the great news on my blog, another message dropped in my conversation box, this time from Fallon, the creative soul behind Olive, letting me know that my It's a girl heart made it to the Front Page - my very first!

The Treasury called My secret garden is a stunning composition of burning hot orange and cool silver, selected by Maykela, who makes beautiful jewelry with precious and semi precious stones. Front page, entitled Laced with LOVE and selected by a very romantic shop RockPaper Silver, is a delicate sellection of soft gray, pale pink and cream colours, many of the items featuring a heart shape. So much LOVE!

Thank you, Maykela and RockPaperSilver, this new Etsy adrenaline should replace my caffeine for a few days...

My first Treasury feature

Wow, I just found out that one of my bags has been chosen for the Treasury on Etsy!

The selection was made by wonderful Elisa from Pesky Cat Designs - her bags have been featured on Etsy's front page 9 times last month so I'm very flattered!
